Two months ago, I bought a Groupon Voucher and made a booking for tonight's dinner at Yeonga Restaurant. Unfortunately, it was an unpleasant dinner for both of us. DC said : "He never had experience something like this in a restaurant before!". Me either. Imagined if it happens to me, I would have felt the same way and been EXTREMELY ANGRY about it!
The waitress was using a 720ml sauce bottle filled with sesame oil and began pouring it into the sauce plate. BAM!!! Half of the bottle accidentally poured onto the table, the floor and DC's lap as shown below.
Those little stains on the left side can be easily cleaned, however I doubt those stains on the right side can be removed completely!
Of course, they apologised and also offered us free drinks to compensate, but the damage was already done. I'm unsure whether I should blame the waitress or the person who didn't tighten the covers? I used to work at a restaurant before and I'm pretty sure all the sauce bottles must be tightened to avoid this kind of accident!
First, they asked whether we would like to have some tea or any soft drinks. Honestly, when I looked at the menu, 3 dollars for a drink isn't worth the $90 jeans being destroyed. We'd rather not have anything at all. Still, they insisted on giving us something and ended up bringing out some orange juice.
WOO 3 DOLLAR DRINK. Oh wait, MAYBE 6 DOLLARS, ONE PER PERSON.
We didn't want to make a fuss about it when still dining in the restaurant. I'd rather leave the complaint here. If this were to happen to you, how do you think you would response?
Instead of paying $40 (RRP$75), we now have to pay $130 for the dinner. Who would have expected a restaurant with an 87% approval rating would have that kind of service?
